In 1861 the British census states that William and Thirza Mandley resided at 10 Bleak Street, Burslem, Staffotdshire. Their daughter and son-in-law Emma and Humphrey Webb resided with them. William Mandley was a shoemaker. Humphrey Webb was a pottery ovenman. Emma Webb was a potter (sconcer). William and Thirza Mandley and Emma Webb were born at Burslem. In 1871, the British census states that Thirza Mandley and her granddaughter Eliza Jane Lockett possibly shared a household with Joseph and Anne Stone. Thirza Mandley had no occupation.
