The marriage banns for Christen Boersen and Inger Christensdatter were announced at Skinnerup parish church on 25 July 1741. The best men were Erich Christensen of Hillerslev and Thomas Andersen of Schindrup.

In the 1730s Christen Anderssen Boersen was joint copyholder with his father-in-law Christen Laursen to Skinnerup (old) farm title no. 13. The farm had a soil classification of 3-1-2-0 which is a classification designed for property taxation. The taxation is based on the potential yield of the farm measured in units of grain (hartkorn = hard grain, usually barley or rye). The number indicates how much grain was to be paid as property tax. The first number represents a full sack of grain, in this case three barrels. From the larger units to the smaller: One Tønder (barrel) equals eight Skæpper; One Skæpper equals four Fjerding (literally one-fourth); One Fjerding equals three Albue. The tax of 3-1-2-0 is three Tønder, one Skæpper, two Fjerding. Since the farm was divided between Christen Andersen and Christen Laursen, each was responsible for half the tax at 1-3-4-0 per person. As copyholder, they did not actually own the farm. The farm was owned partly by Skinnerup Church and Sønder Ullerup Manor in nearby Sennels parish.
