Jean George Emoneau (Frédéric-Melchior3, Jean Esmonnot dit Serrey2, Jean Esmonnot1).
Born abt Jan 1756 in First Peninsula, Lunenburg Twp., Nova Scotia, British America. Jean George was baptized in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, British America, on 29 Mar 1756.2 Jean George died in First Peninsula, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America, on 28 Feb 1778; he was 22.2
Jean George Emoneau was most likely the child of Fréderic Emoneau and his first wife Elisabetha Esmonnot. She last appears in the Lunenburg, Nova Scotia records on the June 1755 victualling list. She was likely pregnant waith Jean George Emoneau and died in childbirth in January 1756. Having a new infant, Frédéric Emoneau quickly married on 3 February 1756 the widow Juliana Elisabetha Feindel who had two or three surviving children. Had Jean Georg Emoneau been the child of Juliana Elisabetha Frankin and her husband Georg Jacob Feindel, the child would most likely have been baptized as a Feindel in order to be eligible for inheriting Feindel property. Given that the baby Jean George Emoneau was baptized on 29 March 1756, possibly two months after his birth to Elizaberh Esmonnot, the infant was the son of Frédéric Emoneau, and therefore a possible heir in that family. Had Jean George Emoneau been the child of Juliana Elisabetha Frankin and Georg Jacob Feindel, it would have been unlikely that Frédéric Emoneau would have given the infant his surname because of inheritance practices. As history unfolded, Jean George Emoneau had one surviving heir, a posthumous daughter, Mary Margaret Emoneau who married Jean Nicholas Eisenhauer. All the descendants from this branch of the Emoneau family are through a branch of the Eisenhauer family.
On 29 Sep 1772 Jean George married
