Roger Eisner began his career in broadcasting in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia while still in high school with the local radio station CKBW. He later worked in radio in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario and Kentville, Nova Scotia before landing a job with CBHT-TV in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1954. He worked in many fields, including real estate, sales, education and as an entrepreneur. He was a member of the Armdale Yacht Club and served as their Vice-Commodore. In 1973, the family moved to Middleton, Nova Scotia where he began Middleton Paper and Plastics and later Roger's Custom Framing and Gallery from which he retired in 1997. Roger Eisner enjoyed many hobbies including model railroading and music. He was active in his community being a past member of the Annapolis Board of Trade, a founding member of the Western Valley Development Authority, and serving on the Middleton Town Planning and Advisory Committee from 1983 to his death.76
