Charles Horley graduated as a marine electrician from the Nova Scotia Technical College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During the Second World War, he worked in the weaponry division at His [later Her] Majesty’s Canadian (H.M.C.) Dockyard in Halifax. When he retired from H.M.C. Dockyard as a workload analyst and forecaster in the weaponry division.50

She second common-law married Ifor Gwyn Phillips. Born on 27 Mar 1943 in Halifax, Halifax Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. Ifor Gwyn died in New Minas, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 24 Nov 2012; he was 69.76 Buried on 29 Nov 2012 in Moser River, Halifax R.M., Nova Scotia, Canada.76

Gwyn Phllips graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and went to Newfoundland to work for Imperial Oil. Looking for a change, he returned to Dal to complete his B.Ed. and began teaching in Chester, Nova Scotia soon after. He later returned to the commerce field, working for CRANE and the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax. Following his retirement, he volunteered at the Anglican Church as well as with Drug dependency. He was a member and Past Master of St. John’s Masonic Lodge No. 2 and held several offices with the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia.76
