Clinton Hiltz served in the Second (Reserve) Battalion of the West Nova Scotia Regiment during the Second World War. The battalion served in the United Kingdom, Italy (1943-1945, and the Netherlands. After the war, he lumber camp cook, a woodsman, meat-cutter, bus driver, carpenter and road construction worker. Among his interestes were gardening, fishing, quilting, rug-hooking and woodworking.43
