Gary Wilson enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a radar operator on U.S.S. Northampton at the tail end of the Korean War. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant management and went on to work for the town of Brookline, Massachusetts as the school food sevice director until his retirement.
