Looking for a change, he returned to Dal to complete his B.Ed. and began teaching in Chester, Nova Scotia soon after. He later returned to the commerce field, working for CRANE and the Lord Nelson Hotel in Halifax. Following his retirement, he volunteered at the Anglican Church as well as with Drug dependency. He was a member and Past Master of St. John’s Masonic Lodge No. 2 and held several offices with the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia.210
