On 27 Sep 1939 Rosalean Blanche married Moyle Haliburton Croft, son of Anthony John Gordon Croft & Mary Louise Crouse, in Rose Bay, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.8 Born on 3 Jul 1912 in First South, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. Moyle Haliburton died in At Sea, on 29 Apr 1944; he was 31. Occupation: Farmer, Able Seaman.

Moyle Croft was an Able Seaman, service no. A/4958, in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve. He a crew member of H.M.C.S. Athabaskan. From February 1944, the H.M.C.S. Athabaskan was part of the 10th Destroyer Flotilla carrying out minelaying and patrol missions of the coast of France. On 26 April 1944, the H.M.C.S. Athabaskan with two Royal Navy and two Royal Canadian Navy ships sunk the German Kriegsmarine torpedo boat T29. Three days later on 29 April 1944, the H.M.C.S. Arthabaskan was patrolling off the coast of France with the H.M.C.S. Haida in support of Royal,Navy mine laying operations near the mouth of the Morlaix River when she was ordered to intercept a German Kriegsmarine ship. During the engagement with the German Kriegsmarine torpedo boat T24 near the Île de Batz, Brittany, the H.M.C.S. Athabaskan was torpedoed and sunk. Moyle Croft was among the 128 crew who were lost with the ship. His death is commemorated on the Halifax Memorial in Point Pleasant Park, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
