Lester Turner started his automotive career early in life selling Studebakers with Harley Spence in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. He moved to Liverpool, Nova Scotia and went to work with G. Milford, a Chrysler dealer and bought the dealership after Mr. Milford's retirement. Lester Turner and his late partner, King Cochrane, built the present building (as of 2002) on White Point Road, Liverpool, conducting business there, first as a Chrysler dealership, then General Motors dealership selling Buicks and Pontiacs. He was part owner of Queens Chrysler Plymouth in Brooklyn, Nova Scotia for a number of years.49
