Leroy Whynot was soldier in the Canadian Expedionary Forces during the First Worl War. He was a private in the 85th Battalion (the Nova Scotia Regiment). He died on 1 September 1918 during the Second Battle of Arras near Chérisy, Pas-de-Calais, France. He is buried in Québec Cemetery,Chérisy, Pas-de-Calais, France.73

Harry Whynott was a farm labourer. He died from pneumonia after having been injured in an accident. He fell from a hay mower on 15 September 1944. He fractured and dislocated the seventh dorsal vertabae with complete transection of the spinal chord. Additionally he fractued his seventh rib.10
