His parents Harrison and Judith Eldridge resided in the houme but were enumerated as a separate family. Both Harry Eldridge and his father were lathers working out of the home. All members of the household were born in Massachusetts with the exception of Grace Eldridge who was born in Canada. Grace Eldridge indicated that she immigrated to the United States in 1898 and that she had given birth to only two children, both of whom were still living. The 1920 United States federal census states that Grace B. Eldridge and her three children reised at 81 Pickering Street, Needham, Massachusetts. Grace Eldridge was a widow with no stated occupation. According to the 1930 United States federal census, Grace Eldridge and her son Alfred Eldridge resided in the household of her daughter and husband Grace and Oscar Starkweather. Grace Eldridge was a housekeeper for a private family. Grace Eldridge immigrated cto the United States in 1904 and was naturalized. (T626-935, Massachusetts, Needham, ED 69, p. 4A)
