Bobby Balsor was a fourth generation beef farmer and as part of his farm business trucked produce to Halifax, Nova Scotia, plowed snow and operated a construction company. For the past six years (2008-2014), he owned and operated Balsors Farm Market in Berwick, Nova Scotia. He was a long-time member of the Aylesford [Nova Scotia] & District Volunteer Fire Department, with 38 years of service. He was active in both provincial and federal Progressive Conservative Parties. Bobby Baslsor was a member of the Annapolis Valley Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, the Harmony Masonic Lodge # 52, A.F. & A.M. in Aylesford, and the Maritime Truck Tractor Pullers Association. He had also been a foreman for the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation in the Berwick Branch.27
