Daniel and Clarisa Etter with three adult children resided at Chester, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia according to the 1901 Canadian federal census. Daniel and Morton Etter were carpenters. Harding Etter was a painter. The family were Baptists. The entry for Daniel Etter is crossed out on the census form which suggests he might have died near the time of the census. According to the 1911 Canadian federal census, the widow Clarasie Etter resided at Chester, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia.
