Frederick Egner was a Second Lieutenant in the 6th Squadron of the Royal Flying Corps (a forerunner to the Royal Air Force) in the British Army during the First World War. He enlisted in the British or Canadian Army on 5 August 1914. He was killed in action on 6 January 1918. He is buried in the Doullens Communal Cemetery, Doullens, Somme, France.101
