Reuben and Alice Mailman with three children resided in the Midville Branch census district, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia according to the 1901 Canadian federal census. His widowed father Solomon Mailman and his brothers Hallet and Edward Mailman lived in the household. Reuben, Hallet and Edward Mailman were lumbermen. The family were Lutherans. His widowed father Solomon Mailman and his brother Edward Mailman lived in the household. Reuben Mailman was a labourer and farmer. Edward Mailman was a farmer. Solomon Mailman was a labourer.
