Willis Hiltz established the W.C. Hiltz Funeral Home in 1910 at Kentville, Nova Scotia. He maintained ownship until 1972 when he sold the firm. He was an honorary member of the Nova Scotia Licensed Embalmers and Funeral Directors Association. He was a member of the Kentville Masonic Lodge No. 58, a past member of the Kentville Gyro Club and the Glooscap Curling Club. He was a church warden of St. James Anglican Church.41
