Donald Hebb joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (R.C.A.F.) during the Second World War and served in the United Kingdom with No. 6 Group as a bomb aimer in the R.C.A.F. Bomber Command. After the war, Don Hebb worked with his father at E.H. Hebb Men’s Wear in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and later worked with Canada Post until his retirement in 1985. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23, Lunenburg, serving two terms as President. He was also active in several community associations including the Lunenburg Fire Department, Lunenburg Minor Hockey Association, the Lunenburg Industrial Hockey League and the Lunenburg Tennis Club.88
