. Born on 1 May 1991 in Kenduskeag, Penobscot Co., Maine, U.S.A. Tilly (The Cat) died in Malden, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, U.S.A., on 11 Dec 2009; she was 18.
Tilly spent the first year living in Bangor, Maine in the company of a dog named Buttons (a.k.a. Booger) who belonged to her Dad’s roomie Lynn Pahoski. In September 1992, Tilly relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia when her Dad was living their on a Fulbright Scholarship. She had a great view of Citadel Hill from her 8th floor apartment at Fort Massey Apartments. In 1993 she returned to the United States living briefly in Burlington, Massachusetts while her Dad travelled and then looked for an apartment. Tilly lived in Jamaica Plains, Massachusetts for eight months. In April 1994 she moved to Winthrop, Massachusetts living across the street from thew ocean until November 2001. She had a comfortable life living by the sea. In December 2001 she moved to Somerville, Massachusetts where she lived with her Dad and her new Dad for seven months. One of the laws of nature is that people should live in Somerville at some point in their lives, and Tilly was no exception. In July 2002, her Dads bought her a beautiful house in Malden, Massachusetts where she lived the remainder of her days. In 1993 Tilly had the opportunity to fly on Air Canada from Halifax to Boston and back. She was well travelled in Massachusetts, New Hampshirew (passing through), Maine, New Brunswick (passing through), and Nova Scotia. Tilly had a fantastic interest in food. In addition to fish, chicken and beef, Tilly liked peas, green beans (cooked and raw), corn, ice cream, and particularly aspargus. She loved aspargus.
