Three grandchildren also lived with Mary Latham: Mary Rutter, Elen Rutter, and Richerd Mountford. Mary Rutter was a dairy maid who was born in Madeley, Staffordshire. Mary's sister Elen Rutter was born at Tunstall, Staffordshire. Their cousin was born in Haslington, Cheshire. Two servants and two farm labourers also resided in the household. Jonah and Fanny Rhead resided at Black Hill, Ruston Grange, Burslem, Staffordshire according to the 1851 census. Their son George Rhead and his wife Thirza resided with them. Jonah Read was a clerk at an earthenware manufactory. George Rhead was potter presser. The Jonah, Fanny and George Rhead were born in Burslem while Thirza Rhead was born at Westmoreland.
