32. Thomas William House (Alfred Charles Thomas3, Charles2, Richard1). Born on 7 Oct 1848 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, United Kingdom. Thomas William died in Horton, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom, on 3 Feb 1909; he was 60.

The 1881 British census records that Thomas and Eliza Newman with their three children resided at 3 Crowther Court, Horton in Bradford, Yorkshire. Thomas Newman was a hotel waiter at an inn. He was born in Macclesfield [Cheshire]. Eliza Newman was born at Exeter [Devonshire]. The three children were born at Bradford. (RG 11, piece 4460, folio 78, p. 24) Interestingly, the family was recorded as Newman rather than House; Newman was the maiden name of Thomas House's paternal grandmother.

Thomas Wm. and Eliza House resided at 3 Crowther Court, Horton in Bradford, Yorkshire according to the 1891 British census. Thomas House was a waiter while his daughter Eliza was a spinner, mill hand. Thomas House was born at Macclesfield, Cheshire. Eliza House was born in Exeter, Devonshire. The children were all born at Bradford. (RG 12, piece 3642, folio 138, p. 16)

Eliza House resided at 10 Jeffries St., Bradford, Yorkshire according to the 1901 British census. Her daughter Eliza and youngest sons Willie and Walter lived with her. Eliza House was a charwoman while her daughter was a worsted twister. Willie House was a confectioner's van man. Walter House was a worsted spinner. The census stated that all members of the family were born at Bradford. (RG 13, piece 4170, folio 129, p. 27)

Thomas House was an "inmate of hospital" at the Bradford Union Workhouse according to the 1901 British census. He was registered as a hotel waiter at an inn. He was born at Henley on Thames. (RG 13, piece 4170, folio 160. p. 20) Given that his family was not in the workhouse, Thomas House was likely a short-term resident due to an illness.

On 5 Jan 1878 Thomas William married Eliza Wyatt, daughter of John Wyatt & Mary Trew, in West Bowling, Bradford, Yorkshire, England. Born in 1855 in Newton St. Cyres, Devonshire, England, United Kingdom. Eliza died in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom, on 5 Nov 1923; she was 68.

Alfred and Mary A.H. House and their family resided at 18 Cabinet Street, Bradford, Yorkshire according to the 1891 census. Alfred House and his son Richard were machine wool combers. His children Thomas and Isabella were worsted spinners. Alfred House was born in Macclesfield, Cheshire while his wife Mary House was born in Blackburn, Lancashire. All of the children were born at Bradford. Sarah Ashton, Mary's 25-year-old sister, resided with them; she was a worsted weaver. (RG 12, piece 3622, folio 40, p. 35)
