Born on 10 Jun 1763 in Villerslev, Hassing herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.4 Peder died in Hørdum, Hassing herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 18 Dec 1835; he was 72.6 Buried on 27 Dec 1835 in Hørdum, Hassing herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.6

Anne Bolesdatter married her first husband Peder Christensen at Hørdum, Vestervig County, Denmark 27 May 1779 (Hø.Kb.). Peder Christensen Kjærgaard died 5 February 1791 (Hø.Kb.).

The marriage register of the Hørdum parish records states that the banns for Peder Iversen of Villerslev and Anna Bolesdatter were announced 31 May 1791. The sponsors for the marriage were Iver Kirk from Villerslev and Bolle Nielsen of Øster Hørdum.

Peder Iwersen and his wife Anne Bolesd [Bolesdatter] were enumerated in the 1801 Danish census. The census describes him as head of household (husbonde), peasant farmer (bonde), and farmer (gaardmand). The family resided at Vester Hørdum village, Hørdum parish, Hassing district, Thisted Co. The parish registers state that Anne Bolesdatter was born at Øster Hørdum village.

Peder Iversen Kjærgaard and his second wife Helvig Christensdatter are found in the 1834 Danish census. They lived at Vester Hørdum village, Hørdum parish, Hassing district, Thisted Co. Perder Iversen was a farmer (gaardmand). The name Kjærgaard indicates that Peder Iversen resided at the lakeside farm.

Helvig Christensdatter and her daughter Ane Pedersdatter appear in the 1840 Danish census. They resided at Vester Hørdum village, Hørdum parish, Hassing district, Thisted Co. By 1840 Helvig Christensdatter had re-married to Jens Christensen who was age 31 at the time of the census.

Helvig Christensdatter, her husband Jens Christensen Kjærgaard and her daughter Ane Pedersdatter were enumerated in the 1845 Danish census. They resided at Vester Hørdum village, Hørdum parish, Hassing district, Thisted Co. Jens Christensen was a farmer. Residing in the household was foster daughter Inger Pedersdatter from Snedsted parish, Thisted Co. and two male farmer-workers: Niels Olesen of Skyum parish and Jens Poulsen of Hørdum parish.

On 25 Jun 1791 Peder first married Anne Bolesdatter, daughter of Bolle Nielsen & Maren Lauridsdatter, in Hørdum, Hassing herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.6 Born in Dec 1759 in Hørdum, Hassing herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark. Born on 17 Sep 1767 in Villerslev, Hassing herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.4 Ane was baptized in Villerslev, Hassing herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark, on 18 Oct 1767.4 Ane died in Villerslev, Hassing herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 9 Nov 1823; she was 56.4 Buried on 20 Nov 1823 in Villerslev, Hassing herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.4

23. Poul Iversen Kirkegaard (Iver Christensen3, Christen2, Christen -sen1). Born on 22 Oct 1769 in Villerslev, Hassing herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.4 Poul died in Fredsø, Lødderup, Morsø Sønder herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 22 Jan 1853; he was 83.7 Buried on 30 Jan 1853 in Lødderup, Morsø Sønder herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.7

Although known as Kirkegaard in Villerslev, Poul Iversen was known as Poul Kirk in Fredsø. Poul Iversen bought a farm in Bjørndrup, Tødsø parish on Morsø and in Fredsø, Lødderup parish on Morsø during the 1790s. The family first resided at Bjørndrup and about 1798 removed to Fredsø in the parish of Lødderup.

The Danish census of 1787 indicates that Johanne Olesdatter resided at Villerslev. She was a 21-year-old, single, farm-worker or servant girl (tjenestepige) in the household of Laust Mouritzen and his wife Else Jensdatter. Her baptismal record in the parish registers of Skallerup, Sejlstrup County (after 1792 Hjørring County) states that she was born at Sÿndelev (modern Sønderlev) village.

In 1801 according to the Danish census, Poul Iversen, his wife Karen Olesdatter, and their children Mads and Sidsel resided on the family farm at Fredsø village, Lødderup parish, Morsø Sønder district, Thisted County. The census describes him as head of household (husbonde), peasant farmer (bonde), and farm resident (gaardbeboer). Residing in the household was Anne Pedersdatter, a 16-year-old farm-worker or servant girl (tienstepige).

Poul Iversen, his wife Johanne Olesdatter and their son Peder Christian Poulsen resided on the family farm at Fredsø village, Lødderup parish, Morsø Sønder district, Thisted County according to the 1834 Danish census. Poul Iversen was a farmer. Residing in their household was Christian Salmonsen, age 14, who was described as a foster son from the poor house (plejesøn fra fattigvæsenet). Also residing in the household was 33-year old farm-worker or servant Else Christensdatter.

The 1845 Danish census recorded that Poul Iversen and Johanne Olesdatter resided on the family farm in Fredsø village, Lødderup parish, Morsø Sønder district, Thisted County. He was a farmer who was born in Villerslev parish, Thisted County. She was born in Skallerup, Hjørring County. Residing in the household was their 35-year-old farm-worker or servant Karen Christensdatter.

In 1850 Poul Iversen, his youngest son Peder Christian Poulsen, Peder’s wife Mette Christensdatter and their three children resided at Fredsø village, Lødderup parish, Morsø Sønder district, Thisted County. Poul Iversen was a widower, farmer (gårdmand) and head of household (husfader). His son Peder Poulsen was a farm administrator (bestyrer gården). Residing in the household were day-labourer Jens Poulsen, age 32 and his wife Maren Christensdatter age 46 who was a dressmaker (skrædder). They do not appear to be part of Poul Iversen’s family as neither appear in earlier census records with the family.

On 5 Mar 1791 Poul married Johanne Olesdatter Boÿers, daughter of Oluf Jensen Boÿers & Anne Knudsdatter, in Villerslev, Hassing herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.4 Born in Dec 1765 in Skallerup, Vennebjerg herred, Åstrup Sejlstrup og Børglum amt, Denmark. Johanne was baptized in Skallerup, Vennebjerg herred, Åstrup Sejlstrup og Børglum amt, Denmark, on 8 Dec 1765. Johanne was baptized in Skallerup, Vennebjerg herred, Åstrup Sejlstrup og Børglum amt, Denmark, on 19 Jan 1766. Johanne died in Fredsø, Lødderup, Morsø Sønder herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 1 Mar 1845; she was 79.7 Buried on 12 Mar 1845 in Lødderup, Morsø Sønder herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.7

The godparents of Johanne Olesdatter Boÿers were Knud Jensen of [--tergut] in Syndelev (Sønderlev), Niels Jensen of same, Thomas Jensen of Nörum (Nørum), Margrethe Christensdatter of Syndelev, and maiden Maren Jensdatter of Norre Mölle (Nørre Mølle). Johannes Oledsatter was introduced at church on 19 January 1766.

Niels Christensen Ginnerup and his wife Maren Iversdatter resided at Vibberstoft village, Villerslev parish according to the parish records.

Niels Gindrup and three of his children – Iver Nielsen, Ane Marie Nielsdatter, and Jens Nielsen – resided at Vibberstoft village, Villerslev parish, Thisted County according to the 1834 Danish census. Niels Gindrup was a widower and a farmer (gaardmand).

The Villerslev Kirkebog (parish register) states that Jens Iversen was baptized on the 8th Sunday after Trinity (8 Trinnitatis).

Jens Iversen resided in his parents’ household at Villerslev according to the 1801 Danish census. Kirsten Andersdatter resided in her parents’ household according to the 1801 Danish census. The family resided at Skyum, Thisted Co., Denmark.

In 1834 Jens Iversen and his wife Kirsten Andersdatter resided at the Annexgården in Villerslev village and parish, Hassing district, Thisted County. Jens Iversen was a farm copyholder. The household included Maren Pedersdatter, age 14, foster daughter and Krabbe Nielsen, age 19, farm-worker or servant boy. They had no children of their own.

Upon the death of Jens Iversen in 1839, his nephew Iver Poulsen Kirkegaard inherited the farm at Villerslev.

In the 1840 Danish census, Kirsten Andersdatter Kirkegaard resided at the Anexgaarden (or church farm) in Villerslev village and parish, Hassing district, Thisted County. She was a farm copyholders widow (gaardfæsters Enke). Residing in the household was Maren Pedersdatter (age 20, her foster-daughter), Peder Johannesen (age 46, widower), and Peder Christensen (age 20, single farm-worker or servant boy).

Kirsten Andersdatter Kirkegaard is enumerated in the 1845 Danish census. She was described as a farm copyholder’s widow (gaardfæsters Enke). Maren Pedersdatter, her husband Michel Jensen (a lumberman from Stagstrup parish) and their daughter Ane Kirstine Michelsdatter resided in the household. They resided in Villerslev village and parish, Hassing district, Thisted County.

In 1850 the Danish census records that Kirsten Andersdatter, no longer referred to as Kirkegaard, resided in her son-in-law Michel Jensen Hummelshøi’s household with his wife Maren Pedersdatter and their children. They continued to reside at Villerslev village and parish, Hassing district, Thisted County.
