Born abt Dec 1788 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark. Anders was baptized in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark, on 26 Dec 1788.1 Anders died in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 23 Aug 1864; he was 75.1 Buried on 1 Sep 1864 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.1

According to the 1834 Danish census, Anders Christensen Smed, his wife Ane Larsdatter and their seven children resided at Iddesminde farm, Skinnerup parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County.  The children were recorded with the surname Smedt.  Anders Christensen Smedt was a farmer (Gaardmand).  Two servants / farm workers (Tjenestefolk) resided in the household: Lars Andersen, age 29 and single; and Christen Nørgaard Nielsen, age 19 and single.

Anders Christensen Smed, his wife Ane Larsdatter and six of their children resided at Iddesminde farm, Skinnerup parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County according to the 1840 Danish census, .  Anders Christensen Smed was a farmer (Gaardmand).  One servant boy / farm worker (Tjenestekarl) resided in the household: Niels Michelsen, age 21 and single.

The 1845 Danish census states that the widower (Enkemand) Anders Christensen Smedt and five of his children resided at Idesminde farm, Skinnerup parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County.  Some children are recorded with surname Smedt and others with Andersen or Andersdatter.  Anders Christensen Smed was a farmer (Gaardmand).  All members of the family were born in the parish.

According to the 1850 Danish census,  widower (Enkemand) Anders Christensen Smedt and five of his children resided at Idasminde farm, Skinnerup parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County.  The children are recorded with surname Smedt.  Anders Christensen Smedt was a head of household and widower (Huusfader og Enkemand).

On 5 Nov 1814 Anders married Anne Larsdatter Klitte (39) , daughter of 18. Laurs (Laurits) Andersen Fægge Klit & Maren Christensdatter Kold, in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.3 Born on 3 Dec 1792 in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.3 Anne was baptized in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark, on 4 Dec 1792.3 Anne was baptized in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 6 Jan 1793.3 Anne died in Feggesund, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 30 May 1844; she was 51.1,8 Buried on 19 Jun 1844 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.1

The Skinnerup parish records state that Anne Larsdatter drowned on 30 May at age 52 in Feggesund and was buried 19 June 1844. She is told to be farmer A. Christensen Smed's wife in Skinnerup at Idasminde. Along with Anne Larsdatter, her daughter Nicoline Andersdatter, age 25, and sister Johanne Larsdatter with two daughters drowned.

According to an inquiry, the Feggesund ferry sprung a leak. Some of the men were rescued, but a number of the women in their big dresses drowned helplessly and were gradually found over a longer period afterwards.

Born on 16 Sep 1794 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.1 Niels was baptized in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 2 Nov 1794.1 Niels died in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 5 Oct 1879; he was 85.1 Buried on 17 Oct 1879 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.1

A foster daughter (Pleiedatter) Ane Christine Christensdatter who was age 24 and single resided in the household as did sewing-girl (Syepige) Inger Marie Christensdatter, age 22.  The household also included a 19-year-old servant girl (tjenestepige) Stine Pedersdatter and the unmarried servant boys (Tjenestekarl) Christen Nielsen Norgaard, age 25 and Peder Berthelsen Bonner, age 19.

The 1845 Danish census states that Niels Christensen Smed, his wife Else Marie Sorensdatter and their three daughters resided at Skinnerup village and parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County.  Niels Christensen Smed was a farmer (gaardmand).  He and his three daughters were born in the parish.  This wife Else Marie Sorensdatter was born at nearby Raehr parish, Hillerslev district.  Three servants resided in the household: Lars Christian Olesen, age 26, married, born at Raehr, and decribed as a (tjenestekarl); Christen Nielsen, age 19, single, born at nearby Sjorring parish, and decribed as a (Tjenestedrang); and Kirsten Madsdatter, age 21, single, born at Thisted parish, and described as a (tjenestepige).

The 1850 Danish census states that Niels Christensen Smed, his wife Else Marie Sorensdatter and their four daughters resided at Skinnerup village and parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County.  Niels Christensen Smed was a farmer (gaardmand).  He and his three daughters were born in the parish.  This wife Else Marie Sorensdatter was born at nearby Raehr parish, Hillerslev district.  Three servants resided in the household: Jens Peter Pedersen, age 28, single, born in the parish, and decribed as a (tjenestekarl); Dorthe Frentsen, age 24, single, born at Brond parish, and decribed as a (Tjenestepige); and Lars Peter Bielsen, age 15, single, born at Faartoft [village,Thisted parish], and described as a (tjenestedreng).

On 12 Mar 1835 Niels married Else Marie Sørensdatter Bunch, daughter of Søren Larsen Bunk & Zidsel Fratsdatter Hjertberg, in Ræhr, Hillerslev herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.15 Born abt Mar 1807 in Ræhr, Hillerslev herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.15 Else Marie was baptized in Ræhr, Hillerslev herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 12 Mar 1807.15 Else Marie died in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 13 Oct 1880; she was 73.1 Buried on 21 Oct 1880 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.1

The widow Else Marie Bunch and two of her children resided at Skinnerup village and parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County according to the 1880 Danish census.  Else Marie Bunch was the head of household and farmer's widow (husmoder og gaardmandsenke).  Her son Søren Kristjan Nielsen was a farm manager (gaardbestryrer).  Her daughter Severine Johanne Nielsen was a husholderske.  Else Marie Bunch was born at nearby Ræhr parish, Hillerslev district and the children at Skinnerup.  There were two foster children in the household: Kristine Nielsen, age 12, born at Skinnerup; and Niels Kristjan Rødbro?? Jensen, age 4, born at Thisted rural parish.  Bodil Line Andersen, age 24 from neighbouring Torsted parish and Anders Kristian Pedersen, age 15 from nearby Hundstrup parish were servants (tjenestefolk) in the household.

Svend was baptized in Lild, Vester Han herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 17 Sep 1807.16 Svend died in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 21 Dec 1868; he was 61.1 Buried on 30 Dec 1868 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.1

Svend Christensen Bojer, his wife Johanne Marie Christensdatter, their son and her two sons resided at Skinnerup village and parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County according to the 1840 Danish census. Svend Christensen Bojer was a farmer (Gaardmand). The family employed two male farm hands (Tjenestekarl) and a servant (tjenestepige) named Laurine Marie Andersdatter, daughter of Anders Med of Iddesminde [in the parish] who was the sister of Johanne Marie Christendatter.

According to the 1845 Danish census, Svend Christensen Bojer, his wife Johanne Marie Christensdatter, their son and her two sons resided at Skinnerup village and parish, Hundborg district, Thisted County. Svend Christensen Bojer was a farmer (Gaardmand) and overseer of village military conscription (Lægtsmand). The family employed two servants or farm hands (Tjenestefolk).

Maren Kirstine was baptized in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 7 Feb 1801.1 Maren Kirstine died in Vigsø, Hillerslev herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 7 May 1860; she was 59.17 Buried on 21 May 1860 in Vigsø, Hillerslev herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.17

On 23 Mar 1833 Maren Kirstine married Christen Thomsen Hvass Dige, son of Thomas Andersen Hopp Hvass & Maren Jensdatter Søegaard, in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.1 Born abt 1790 in Kåstrup, Hillerslev herred, Dueholm Ørun og Vestervig amt, Denmark. Christen died in Vigsø, Hillerslev herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 4 Oct 1860; he was 70.17 Buried on 15 Oct 1860 in Vigsø, Hillerslev herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.17

Jens Dige Søgård's daughter's son Christen Thomsen Dige inherited his grandfather's business talent and became a farmer and merchant in Vigsø, where he had several ships sailing to Norway. From him descends the merchant family Dige, which operated in Vigsø, Øsløs, Thorup Strand and still does in Thorup.
