The Zion Lutheran Church registers in Lunenburg state that Albert Crouse was born on 6 May 1851 and was baptized on 10 July 1851. Eldred Crouse was born on 6 April 1851 according to the provincial death records which state his parents to be John Crouse and ? Zwicker. The two are likely the same person.

On 25 Oct 1874 Eldred (Albert) married Mary Ellen Zwicker (564) , daughter of 149. Solomon Zwicker & Waity Elizabeth Weagle, in Lapland, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.8 Born on 23 Apr 1857 in Lapland, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.
