Born on 17 Apr 1924 in Camperdown, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. Ivan Harold was baptized in Camperdown, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 24 Sep 1924. Ivan Harold died in Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 22 Feb 2014; he was 89.121

During the Second World War, Ivan Wamboldt served in the Canadian military. He was based throughout camps in Nova Scotia and was engaged as a training officer until the close of the war. By then his parents had relocated their farm to Rhodes Corner, Nova Scotia. After working at different occupations, Ivan Wamboldt began his long-term employment with the provincial Unemployment Insurance office in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. With changes in the department he was transferred to New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Eventually he was transferred back to Bridgewater where he remained employed until his retirement. Ivan was an active volunteer in many organisations throughout his life and a founding member of the Co-op, LaHave River Credit Union, and Dayspring and District Fire Department. The Lutheran Church was very important to him playing a vital role in his worship life. He served in many leadership roles from an early time, and continued to be involved until ill health made participation difficult. Ivan also served for many years as the organist at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Bridgewater, and continued to provide supply until later in life.121

On 4 May 1964 Ivan Harold married Helen Gertrude Johnson, daughter of Reginald Shea Johnson & Jessie May Whynot, in Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. Born abt 1932 in Liverpool, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. Helen Gertrude died in Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 23 Feb 2014; she was 82.121
