Born on 1 Oct 1888 in Martin’s River, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. Everette W. died in Passchendaele, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium, on 30 Oct 1917; he was 29.65 Occupation: Carpenter. He was never married.
Everette Wentzell, service number 222145, was a private in the 85th Battalion (The Nova Scotia Regiment), Canadian Infantry during the First World War. He died in action on 30 October 1917 at or near Passchendaele, Belgium during the Second Battle of Passchendaele (26 October-17 November 1917) which was the final battle of the Third Battle of Ypres (31 July-10 Onovember 1917). His body was never found. He is commemorated at the Menin Gate (Ypres Memorial), Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium along with 54398 Commonwealth soldiers whose graves are not known.
