Perley Hiltz, service number 3189514, was a soldier in the First World War for service in Europe. He enlisted on 15 June 1918 at Camp Aldershot, Kings County, Nova Scotia. He was sent to England on H.M.T. Mauritania which left Halifax, Nova Scotia on 2 August 1918. He served in the 17th Reserve Battalion of the Nova Scotia Regiment.
