Claude Kedy was the first principal of the Mahone Bay School (the Mahone Bay High School) which was built in 1913. He eventually taught school in Picou County, Nova Scotia. He wrote Pictou Academy from Its Founding to the Present: An Important Narrative in the History of Education in the Province of Nova Scotia, which Mount Allison University published in 1933.
