A great advocate for children, Wanda Bezanson Broome represented her area on the South Shore Regional School Board in Nova Scotia where she had been Board Chair for seven of her 19 years. At the time of her death from cancer, she was the treasurer of the Nova Scotia School Boards Association. She had also been a Councillor for District 6 in the Municipality of Chester, Nova Scotia for six years. Being community-minded, Wanda was instrumental in procuring grants to build the Forties Community Centre, Forties, Nova Scotia and served as a director for many years. Making wreaths in her basement with her mom turned into a business, Norwood Farms. Wanda Bezanson became well known for her wreaths throughout Nova Scotia. This business evolved into her Crop-Hopper business and she nurtured scrapbooking for many across Nova Scotia.44
Wanda Jocelyn married Philip Arnold Broome (Living).
They had the following children:
