Connie Eye attended primary and secondary schools in Salem, NH; Rangoon, Burma; Saigon, Viet Nam; Geneva, Switzerland; and graduated high school from Joint Embassy School in Jakarta, Indonesia. She attended the University of Maine in Orono and graduated in 1981 Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. She was invited for lifetime membership into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society as well as the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She attended graduated school at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA for the next 3 years studying Anthropology and Sociology. On her return to Bangor, Connie Eye worked for a time at Northeast Reprographics where her work included archival preservation of documents from libraries in the State of Maine. She loved this work. In 1994, Connie was very much a part of the founding of New Hope Hospice with her mother, Pat Eye and friend Nancy Burgess. She devoted the next 22 years of her life to the work of hospice.
