On 27 Mar 1880 Calvin first married Lavinia Rodenhiser, daughter of Johann David Rothenhauser & Sarah Catherina Moser, in Summerside, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.8 Born in 1856 in Summerside, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America. Lavinia died bef 1885; she was 29.
