Oscar Elliott was a farmer and miller in New Ross, Nova Scotia. From 1925 to May 1951, he served as a stipendiary magistrate for the Municipality of Chester, Nova Scotia. He served as a lay reader, vestry clerk, church warden and choir member of Christ Church Anglican in New Ross. Oscar Elliott was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters and the Farmers’ Association. He died from injuries sustained in an accidental fall. He fractured the neck of the left femure and died from pulmonary congestion and hypostasis.

On 17 May 1882 Oscar Sinclair married Hannah Melinda Keddy (1169) , daughter of 265. William (Michael) Keddy & Eliza Legge, in Kentville, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.8 Born on 16 Nov 1858 in Keddy’s Hill, Sherbrooke, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.14 Hannah Melinda was baptized in Sherbrooke, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America, on 28 Aug 1859.14 Hannah Melinda died in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 4 Apr 1946; she was 87.8 Buried on 7 Apr 1946 in New Ross, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.8
