Lawrence Johnstone served for a brief time with the Royal Canadian Air Force and was later employed with the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre in Waterville, Nova Scotia for 25 years. He retired at the age of 61 and celebrated by skydiving with his sons, Willie and Joey. He was a member of the Waterville United Baptist Church and affiliated with the Woodville Baptist Church. He was a member of the Waterville and District Fire Department and recently received an award for 50 years of service and had been a member of the Fireman’s Choir.91
