The 1901 Canadian federal census states that daughter Cassandra Deal and her son resided in the in the Chesley Corner census district, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. They lived in the household of her parents Jacob and Eve Meisner. The family were Lutherans. (RG 31-C-1, 1901, Nova Scotia, Lunenburg co., ED 37-H, Chesley Corner, p. 16)

According to the 1911 Canadian federal census, Cassandra Deal with a married son and his family resided at Meisner’s [Section], Lunenburg County, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. Cassandra and Sanford Deal were farmers. Cassandra’s Deal’s husband resided in the household. He was listed as the last member of the household while Cassandra Deal was listed as the head-of-household. Cassandra, James and Sandford Deal were Lutherans.
