Born on 17 Oct 1948 in Kentville, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. John Ridgeley died in Yarmouth, Yarmouth Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 9 Jan 2012; he was 63.
Ridge Hiltz attended and graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. He worked with Hiltz and Seamone Limited and then went on to take the position of Development Officer for the Municipality of Kings County. In 1994, he took a position with the Province of Nova Scotia as the manager for the Provincial Subdivision Office for the Southwestern Region. Ridge Hiltz began his own land sciences businesses in 1994 and 2000, was president of Ridge Hiltz Development Program Services Limited and vice-president of the 4site Group until his passing. Ridge was a Boy Scout leader in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, past president of the Yarmouth Y.M.C.A. Whitecaps, a certified baseball umpire, past president of the Yarmouth Gateways Senior Baseball Team, a member of the Chebogue Aquatic Boat Club, and a member of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. In his professional accomplishments, he was a member and past director of Wastewater Nova Scotia, member and past president of The Nova Scotia Development Officers Association, a member of the Nova Scotia Department of Environment On-Site Septic Field Program, and a Commissioner of Oaths for the Province of Nova Scotia.
