DEATH OF DR. A. H. BEERS -- In the death of A. H. His practice began at Alberton, P.E.I., where he married Miss Wallace and for the past 37 years at Cherry Valley. He was an able and prolific writer on many subjects and in 1889 received his Ph.D. from Edinburgh University for a thesis written on Transcendentalism. He was the possessor of a brilliant mind and a kind heart. His services to the poor were always gratuitous. Dr. Beers was the son of Captain Thomas Beers, J.P., and a grandson of Major Joseph Beers, M.P., an officer of the American Revolution. The Dr. was born and died in the beautiful old Beers residence, built by his grandfather in 1784, a home which enjoyed the distinction of entertaining all the old Colonial Governors from Fanning to Robinson, and was buried in the cemetery of Christ Church, Cherry Valley on Sunday last, which was built and given to the community by his father. Dr. Beers was loved most by those who knew him best and leaves to mourn a wife, a daughter, Miss Madeline, and two sons, Mr. George W. H. Beers, now on his wedding tour, Mr. Roy Beers of Cherry Valley, and his brother Mr. John Beers. The funeral was one of the largest ever seen in Cherry Valley. The service was conducted by the Rev. S.
