Neil MacWilliams was a lance corporal (service no. F/5585) in the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) of Canada. He died in battle near Le Grand Millebrugghe, Berques, Nord, France on 9 September 1944 in the actions days prior the Siege of Dunkirk (15 September 1945 - 9 May 1945). He is buried at the Canadian War Cemetery at Lebringhen, Pas-de-Calais, grave no. 1. H. 11.34
