Born on 21 May 1756 in Gränna, Jönköpings län, Sweden.2 Carl died in Gränna, Jönköpings län, Sweden, on 21 Jan 1801; he was 44.2 Buried on 25 Jan 1801 in Gränna, Jönköpings län, Sweden.2 Occupation: Artillerist.

The Gränna parish records state that Karl Semon was the illegitimate son of Maja Stine Simonsdotter Comeli and an unknown (okänd) father.

Karl Semon and Brita Andersdotter were not married when their first child was born in 1784. At the time of their marriage in 1790, they both resided in Gränna Stad, Gränna.

He died of Lungsjuka (lung [disease]) at Gränna Stad.

On 29 Dec 1790 Carl married Brita Andersdotter, daughter of Anders Rosman & Maja Månsdotter, in Gränna, Jönköpings län, Sweden.2 Born on 22 Jul 1751 in Linderås, Jönköpings län, Sweden.3 Brita was baptized in Linderås, Jönköpings län, Sweden, on 24 Jul 1751.3 Brita died in Gränna, Jönköpings län, Sweden, on 13 Apr 1818; she was 66.2 Buried on 19 Apr 1818 in Gränna, Jönköpings län, Sweden.2

Brita Andersdotter Semon was a poverty-stricken widow (fattighjon ank) when she died of old age (Älderdom) on 13 April 1818 at Gränna Stad (age 66, 8 mo., 15 d.).
