Maren was baptized in Skræm, Øster Han herred, Åstrup Sejlstrup og Børglum amt, Denmark, on 19 Oct 1756.1 Maren died in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 13 Feb 1827; she was 70.3 Buried on 23 Feb 1827 in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.3

Note: The birth of Maren Christendatter in Skræm appears to have been incorrectly recorded as Kirsten. Given Danish naming practices, it is very unlikely that Christen Andersen Kold / Vust and his wife Ane Albertsdatter would have used Kirsten rather Maren as the their daughter's name. The mothers of both Christen Andersen Kold and Ane Albertsdatter were named Maren.

The baptismal records of her children Kirsten Marie and Christen state that two of the godparents were her sisters Johanne Christensdatter and Karen Pedersdatter.

On 24 Jun 1780 Maren first married Thomas Jensen Klit, son of Jens -sen Klit, in Vust, Vester Han herred, Åstrup Sejlstrup og Børglum amt, Denmark.2 Born in 1729 in Lødderup, Morsø Sønder herred, Dueholm Ørem og Vestervig amt, Denmark. Thomas died in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark, on 4 Sep 1786; he was 57.3 Buried in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.

First marriage bans read 1 Nov 1771 at Sejerslev.

The death record of Thomas Jensen Klitgaard states that he died on 4 September 1786, age 58 when he was hit by his barn as it collapsed during a hurricane. The minister further stated that many building in the area collapsed from the hurricane. He initially stated 80 barns but after hearing rumours revised his figure to hundreds.

On 1 Feb 1787 Maren second married Laurs (Laurits) Andersen Fægge Klit, son of Anders Christensen Smed / Boersen & Johanne Andersdatter, in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark.3 Born abt Feb 1752 in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark. Laurs (Laurits) was baptized in Skinnerup, Hundborg herred, Dueholm Ørum og Vestervig amt, Denmark, on 6 Feb 1752.4 Laurs (Laurits) died in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 17 Apr 1825; he was 73.3 Buried on 24 Apr 1825 in Sejerslev, Morsø Nørre herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.3

Lars Andersen and Maren Christensdatter Koll announced their wedding bans on 29 December 1786 in Sejerslev. The parish register contains an extensive note regarding the marriage. The date for the wedding at the end of the note indicates 1 February 1787.

In 1787 the Danish census recorded that Laurs Andersen ang his wife Maren Christensdatter resided at Fæggeklit, Sejerslev, Dueholm County. Laurs Andersen was a farmer. His wife had three young children from her previous marriage who resided in the household. Three adult and two child servants resided in the household: Knud Nelsen, age 29; Christen Jørgensen, age 26 and unhealthy; Kirsten Laursdatter, age 30; Joen Nelsen, age 12; and Christen Christensen, age 9.

Laurits Andersen and his wife Maren Christensdatter resided with their six children at Fæge Klit (current day Fegge Klit), Sejerslev, Thisted County according to the 1801 Danish census. Bonde og gårdbeboer. There were three servants in the household: Christopher Sørensen (age 36), Poul Lauritsen (age 22), and Birthe Jensdatter (age 29).

The parish records state that Lars Andersen was 73 when he died in 1825. The parish register states that he resided at Fæge klit. In 1827 when Maren Christensdatter Kold died, the parish register stated that she was 71 and resided at Fæge Klit.

Peder Jørgensen, his wife Johanne Christendatter and their son Jørgen Pedersen resided at Klim-by, Klim parish, Thisted County according to the 1787 Danish census. He was a peasant farmer and farm resident (Bonde og Gaardbeboer). Peder Jørgensen's widowed mother Ane Nielsdatter resided with them as did two unmarried servants or farm labourers: Christen Axelsen and Maren Nielsdatter, both age 22.

The 1801 Danish census states that Jacob Kristensen Haverslev, his wife Johanne Marie Kristensdatter and three children resided at at Klim-by, Klim parish, Thisted County. Jacob Kristensen Haverslev was a peasant farmer and farm resident (Bonde og Gaardbeboer). Residing in the household were two unmarried servants or labourers: Mads Vogensen, age 26 and a national soldier; and Dorthea Madsdatter, age 21.

On 18 Apr 1786 Johanne Marie first married Peder Jørgensen Kliim, son of Ane Nielsdatter, in Vust, Vester Han herred, Åstrup Sejlstrup og Børglum amt, Denmark.2 Born in 1751 in Klim, Vester Han herred, Åstrup Sejlstrup og Børglum amt, Denmark. Peder died in Klim, Vester Han herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, in Mar 1794; he was 43. Buried on 25 Mar 1794 in Klim, Vester Han herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.5

Anders Macussen and his wife Anne Chrestensdatter resided at Vesløs Bye, Vesløs parish, Thisted County according to the 1787 Danish census. They were members of his parents' Marcus Nielsen and Else Andersdatter household. Marcus Nielsen was a peasant farmer and farmer resident (Bonde og gaardbeboer).

The 1801 Danish census states that Anders Markusen, his wife Anne Cathrine Christendatter and their two children resided at Vesløs Bye, Vesløs parish, Thisted County. Anders Markusen was a peasant farmer and farmer resident (Bonde og gaardbeboer). Two unmarried servant or labourers resided in the household: Gregers Axelsen, age 23; and Anne Andersdatter, age 19.

In 1785 Peder Christensen took over the farm at Gisholm in Vust from his mother Ane Albertsdatter. The 1787 Danish census states that Peder Christensen resided in his mother Ane Albertsdatter and step-father Knud Nielsens household.

Peder Christensen, his wife Else Maria Nielsdatter and their four children resided at Vuust bye, Vust parish, Thisted County according to the 1801 Danish census. Peder Christensen was a peasant farmer and farmer resident (Bonde og gaardbeboer). Three unmarried servants or labourers resided in his household: Poul Nielsen, age 35; Eskild Bollesen, age 19; and Karen Axelsdatter, age 19.

The farm Gisholm was taken over by Peder Christensen widow Else Marie Christensdatter in 1820. The farm remained in the family until 2000.

On 28 Jan 1794 Peder married Else Marie Nielsdatter in Vust, Vester Han herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.2 Born in Denmark.
