Robie Levy retired from Canexel Hardboard Plant, East River, Nova Scotia and also worked at Eric Countway's Barrell Factory and for Standard Paving for many years. He owned and operated his own Christmas Tree Farm. He was a real lover of nature, his cattle and oxen. Robie Levy played a very important part in providing information for the book In Praise of Oxen published by Terry James and was the focus of the CBC documentary Country Canada featuring his oxen and Christmas Tree farm.27
