Samuel and Ann Valingtine resided in the Great Stukeley Spitals according to the 1841 census. James was an agricultural labourer. He was about age 70, and she was about 65. They were not born in Huntingdonshire. (HO 107/449/2, Hunts, Great Stukeley, ED 5, p. 4)

Samuel was a resident of the Union Workhouse in Huntingdon by 1845. The records of the workhouse for 1845 and 1846 indicate that he was infirm. He was still there at the time of his death. The records of the workhouse in 1848 indicate he was there because of old age. He died at the Union Workhouse in Huntingdon.

Philip Hall and family resided in Great Stukeley according to the 1841 census. He was a 50-year old widower and an agricultural labourer. Philip's children Elizabeth (age 20), Mary (age 12), Susanna (age 10), William (age 8) and Rebeker (age 5) and his grand-daughter Sarah (age 1) resided with him.

The 1851 census states that the Hall family lived in the Green End section of Great Stukeley. He was a widower and agricultural labourer. Three of his children resided with him as well as a lodger.

A tombstone in the churchyard at Great Stukeley reads: "In affectionate Remembrance of Philip Hall who fell asleep in Jesus November 9th 1871 aged 79 years. Also Susannah daughter of the above who died February 5 1863 aged 32 years. That in the world...., Friends and children dear, I hope the Lord..... "(remainder not legible).

John Darlow died of phelgmonous erysipelas (a contagious and rapid inflammation of the skin known as St. Anthony's fire, often epidemically) for four days leading to pyæmia (septicæmia) for two days.

James and Eliza Lander with their large family resided at 39 Sant St., Burslem according to the 1861 census. James Lander was an 'earthen packer' while his hildren Hannah, John, Robert and Sarah were potters. James Lander (Jr.) was a potter's apprentice. The census stated incorrectly that all members of the family were born at Burslem. (RG 9, piece 1927, folio 58, p. 19)

In 1871 Eliza Lander appears as the head of household in the 1871 British census. She was a widow and a dressmaker. The census states that she was born in Burslem. Her son John and his wife Sarah resided with her along with her youngest son George. The family resided at 39 Saint Street, Burslem. (RG 10, piece 2850, folio 59, p. 17)

The 1851 census states that John Platt and his family resided at Church Street, Burslem. He was born in the neighbouring parish of Hanley while his wife Sarah was born in Cobridge, Stoke upon Trent. The children were born in Burslem. John Platt was a potter, and Sarah was a 'transferer'.

In the 1881 British census, Sarah A. Platt is a widower. She resided at 46 Brindley Road, Burslem. Her son John Platt and his family resided in her household.

When daughter Ann Mandley was married in December 1856, the marriage certificate states that William Mandley was a potter. In March 1857, daughter Fanny was married, the marriage certificate states that William Mandley was a cordwainer.

In 1861 the British census states that William and Thirza Mandley resided at 10 Bleak Street, Burslem, Staffotdshire. Their daughter and son-in-law Emma and Humphrey Webb resided with them. William Mandley was a shoemaker. Humphrey Webb was a pottery ovenman. Emma Webb was a potter (sconcer). William and Thirza Mandley and Emma Webb were born at Burslem. Humphrey Webb was born at Ashley, Staffordshire. (RG 9, piece 1930, folio 67, p. 22)

In 1871, the British census states that Thirza Mandley and her granddaughter Eliza Jane Lockett possibly shared a household with Joseph and Anne Stone. Thirza Mandley had no occupation. Eliza Lockett was a warehouse woman. They lived at 6 Bleak Street, Burslem. They were born in Burslem. (RG 10, piece 2854, folio 15, p. 22)

Thirza Mandley appears in the 1881 British census. She is a widow living possibly as part of the Stone family household. She was a housekeeper. She resided at 24 Granville Bdgs. W.R., Burslem, Staffordshire. She was born at Burslem. (RG 11, piece 2716, folio 110, p. 36)
