George Valentine was a resident of the Union Workhouse, St. John's parish, Huntingdon according to the 1871 British census. He was an agricultural labourer. He was born in Great Stukeley and was 44 years old. She was born in Buckworth, Huntingdonshire and was 46 years old. Their children Sarah (age 22), James (age 11), Elizabeth (age 9), Mary (age 4) and Hannah (age 2) were living with them. In 1851, Robert Howe who later married Sarah Valentine and was a member of the household. (HO 107, piece 1748, folio 681, pp. 10-11)

In 1861 James and Charlotte Valentine resided at Great Stukeley according to the census. He was an agricultural labourer. He ands his children were born at Great Stukeley. Charlotte Valentine was born at Buckworth. (RG 9, piece 975, folio 119, p. 19)

John and Elizabeth Vallentine and their children lived in Brampton, Huntingdonshire in 1851. The census incorrectly states his age as 48 and her age as 42. Their children Sarah, Mary, Emmer and William resided with them. Sarah was born in Great Stukeley and the others in Brampton. John was an agricultural labourer. (HO 107, piece 1748, folio 448, p. 17) Sarah Valentine was the daughter of Elizabeth Hall by a previous relationship.

According to the 1861 census, John Valentine and his family lived in Brampton, Huntingdonshire. They lived on Buckden Road. He was an agricultural labourer and age 46. His wife Elizabeth was a laundress and age 40. Their children were born in Brampton while they were from Great Stukeley, Huntingdonshire. The 1861 census lists Emma (age 13), William (age 11), Thomas (age 9), Philip James (age 6), Ana Eliza (age 3), and John (age 2) as their children. (RG 9, piece 974, folio 8, p. 9)

On the 1871 census, John Valentine was 55-year-old widower and an agricultural labourer. He was born in Great Stukeley. His children Mary (age 24), Thomas (age 18), Liza (age 14), and John (age 11) resided in his household. (RG 10, piece 1526, folio 9, p. 9)

he 1881 census indicates that John Valentine was a 70-year-old widower who was born in Great Stukeley. He was an agricultural labourer. He was an inmate of the Union Workhouse, St. John's parish, Huntingdon. (RG 11, piece 1604, folio 52, p. 36) In 1891, the census indicates that he was an inmate at the Huntingdon Union Workhouse. The census states that he was born at Great Stukeley, Hunts and that he was a widower and a shepherd. (RG 12, piece 1237, folio 216, p. 1) He resided at the workhouse until his death in 1893 at age 82. His death certificate states that he died of senile decay.

On 24 Mar 1845 John married Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Philip Hall & Ann Woods, in Great Stukeley, Huntingdonshire, England, United Kingdom.7 Born in Jun 1820 in Great Stukeley, Huntingdonshire, England, United Kingdom. Elizabeth was baptized in Great Stukeley, Huntingdonshire, England, United Kingdom, on 14 Jun 1820.7 Elizabeth died in Brampton, Huntingdonshire, England, United Kingdom, on 26 Jul 1869; she was 49.14 Buried on 30 Jul 1869 in Brampton, Huntingdonshire, England, United Kingdom.14
