Caroline Kirstine Thomasdatter drowned on 30 May 1844 when the Feggesund ferry sank. She was returning to Tved following the funeral of father's sister-in-law Anne Elisabeth Lauritsdatter. Several other members of her father's family also drowned in that sinking.
