In the Name of God Amen;
I William Hyson of the Township and County of Lunenburg in the province of Nova Scotia yeoman, being weak in Body but of sound and perfect mind and Memory Blessed be Almighty God for thesame, do Make and publish this my last Will and Testament in Manner and Form following, that is to say, Imprimis, I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me, and my Body to the earth from whence it came to be buried in a decent Christian like Manner, And as for that worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me, after all my Lawful debts and funeral Expenses are paid, I dispose hereof as follows. First I give devise and bequeath unto my oldest son Frederick Hyson the half of a thirty Acre Lot of land lying at Mahone Bay being one half of lot number ten Letter C. also the half of fifteen Acres of Land lying at Mahone Bay on the back of 30 Acre Lot number 9, joining Vinachts land, also One Hundred & twenty acres of Land more or less being my part or share of the 300 Acre Lot Number One, lying near old Langills on the western side 2:nd I give devise and bequeath unto my Son John Hyson a thirty acre lot of Land lying at Mahone Bay Letter number twelve, also a thirty acre lot of Land number Eleven lying at Clear Land 3:d I give devise and bequeath unto my two Sons Benjamin and Philip Hyson the thirty acre Lot of Land which I now live on lying at Indian Point lot number Six, also a 300 Acre Lot of Land lying near Martins River being lot number five Letter F fourth division, also one half of an Island called Spectacle Island, lying in Mahone Bay, also my cattle farming Utensills and Household furniture, to be divided among my said Sons Benjamin & Philip when they arrive to their lawful age share and share alike 4.th I give and bequeath unto my daughter Polly Borgone wife to John Borgone the sum of Fifty Pounds currency 5.th I give and bequeath unto my daughter Barbara Hyson the Sum of Fifty Pounds currency 6.th I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Catherine Hyson the Sum of Fifty Pounds currency 7.th I give and bequeath unto my youngest daughter Carolina Hyson the Sum of Fifty Pounds currency 8th I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Anna Hyson the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds currency in lieu of her Dower in My Real and personal Estate 9th The above Legacies are to be paid by my hereafter named Executrix & Executor out of my personal Estate in good Notes of Hand if there should not be suffient in Cash 10th It is also my Will that my beloved wife Anna Hyson shall enjoy the 30 Acre Lot of Land I now live on together with the use of my Cattle, Household furniture, and farming Utensils, until my youngest Son arrives to his Lawfull age, provided she remains a Widow in my Name, with that intend of bringing up my youngest children and giving them some Education 11.th The rest and residue of my Notes of Hand or Cash if any there should be, is to be divided amonst my children share share alike Lastly, I nominate appoint my Beloved wife Anna Hyson Executrix, and my good friend John Heckman in town Executor of this my last will and Testament, hereby revokeing all former wills by me made, and confirming this only as and for my Last will and Testament,
