4. James Alfred White (James White (Wight)2, Andrew White1). Born on 4 Apr 1843 in Northfield, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.6 James Alfred died aft 1924; he was 80. Occupation: Fisherman, Farmer.

The 1881 Canadian census states that James and Ellen Wight with four daughters resided in the Bridgewater area of Nova Scotia. James Wight was a labourer. They were Congregationalists. The family was recorded as being of German ethnic origins and that they had all been born in the province. (Lunenburg 11-I3 [Bridgewater, New Dublin twp.], p. 39)

James A. and Eunice White with six of their children resided at Liverpool, Nova Scotia according to the 1901 Canadian census. James A. White was a mariner. The family were Methodists. They stated that their ethnic origins were English and that they had all been born in the province. (Shelburne & Queens 40-Z1 [Liverpool], p. 9)

The 1911 Canadian federal census states that James and Eunice White with five children and three grandchildren resided at Liverpool, Nova Scotia. James, Guy and Steadman White were woodsmen. The occupation of Simeon White is illegible. The family were Anglican. The three granddauthers were Gertrude (age 10), Nellie (age 9) and Florence (age 2). On 15 Sep 1871 James Alfred first married Eleanor Ellen (Miriam) Crouse, daughter of Paulus Crouse & Marianne Silber, in Pleasant River, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.1 Born on 31 Aug 1848 in Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.7 Eleanor Ellen (Miriam) was baptized in Mahone Bay, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America, on 5 Dec 1848.7 Eleanor Ellen (Miriam) died in Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, aft 18 Aug 1883; she was 34.

On 21 Mar 1884 James Alfred second married Eunice Frederick, daughter of William Frederick & Louisa Elizabeth Hahn, in Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.1 Born on 4 Sep 1860 in Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.6 Eunice died in Liverpool, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 14 Dec 1924; she was 64.1 Buried on 16 Dec 1924 in Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.1

Eunice White resided at Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia according to the 1921 Canadian federal census. She rented her home for CAD 2.50 per month. Her adult son Steadman White lived in the household. Her [step-]daughter Lottie White with eight children lived in tghe household. Steadman White was a labourer. The census states that Eunice White was married, but her husband James White was not in the household. The family were Methodists. John White died of chronic prostatic disease complicated by renal infection.

On 7 Dec 1882 John E. second married Margaret Jane Robinson, daughter of Robert Robinson & Jane Ogilvie, in Aylesford, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.1 Born on 5 Oct 1843 in Kings Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.1 Margaret Jane died in Berwick, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 15 Feb 1925; she was 81.1 Buried on 17 Feb 1925 in Aylesford, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.1

Although Margaret White died at Berwick, Nova Scotia, she had been a resident of Nicholsville, Nova Scotia. The death certificate stated that "No specific disease can be stated as cause of death".

6. Andrew White (James White (Wight)2, Andrew White1). Born abt 29 Jul 1846 in Pleasant River Road, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.8 Andrew died in Madison, Somerset Co., Maine, U.S.A., on 27 Dec 1892; he was 46.8 Occupation: Trader, Carpenter.

Andrew White of Pleasant River Road, Lunenburg County and Mary Elizabeth Oickle of Maitland, Lunenburg County were married at the Baptist church at Lakeville. Andrew White was a farmer.

Andrew White died from an abscess of the liver.

On 28 May 1871 Andrew first married Mary Elizabeth Oickle, daughter of George Nelson Oickle & Mary Ann Barry, in Lakeville (Laconia), Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.1 Born on 14 Nov 1851 in Maitland, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America.7 Mary Elizabeth was baptized in Mahone Bay, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, British North America, on 19 Dec 1851.7 Mary Elizabeth died in Chelsea, Lunenburg Co., Nova Scotia, Canada, on 16 Mar 1875; she was 23.

On 11 Jul 1892 Andrew third married Paulina Jackson in Kingston, Kings Co., Nova Scotia, Canada.1 Born in 1855 in Concord, Somerset Co., Maine, U.S.A. Paulina died in Anson, Somerset Co., Maine, U.S.A., on 22 Dec 1907; she was 52.8

Paulina White married Elisha Ferrin on 5 November 1893 at Steuben, Washington Co., Maine.8 She died from heart disease.

Abt 1886 Simeon R. married Naomi Martin. Born in May 1863 in Maine, U.S.A. Naomi died in Cumberland Co., Maine, U.S.A., on 8 Apr 1938; she was 74.

The 1900 United States federal census states that Simeon and Naomi Wight with a daughter resided at 13 Cumberland Street, Westbrook, Cumberland County, Maine. They rented their home. Hiram Martin was boarder in the household. Naomi White has given birth to one child before 1900 who was still living. Simeon Wight was an engineer in the paper industry. Hiram Martin was a paper mill worker. Simeon Wight immigrated to the United States from Nova Scotia but his status was not recorded.
